Former broadcaster Merle Harmon died Wednesday after a long illness...Harmon, who was 82, called professional and college sports for over 40 years for ABC and NBC...he was also the broadcaster for the Minnesota Twins from 1967-69, Milwaukee Brewers from 1970-79, and Texas Rangers from 1982-89...before leaving the Brewers, Harmon was instrumental in breaking in former catcher Bob Uecker as the Brewers play-by-play man...
